Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. My car engine overheated on the way to work. This service station came up on Google Maps as my closest I could get to at 8am. The man that helped me was very kind and willing and reassured the issues for me. Thank you for your kindness and help! :)

I was on a long road trip when a warning light came on in my car. I was not sure if it meant the engine was overheating or if something more serious was going on, but it definitely had me concerned. I called a friend who is a mechanic and he told me right away to slow down, pull over, and get the car checked out as soon as possible. He explained that even if the car seemed like it was running fine, driving with a possible overheating issue could lead to real damage. I was far from home and did not know the area, so I searched for a local auto shop and found this place. When I arrived, the shop was clearly very busy. The lot was full and I saw multiple customers coming in and out. Even though they had their hands full, they immediately understood that I was traveling from far away and needed help. They did not brush me off or make me feel like a problem. They made time to check out my car, diagnose the issue, and begin helping me that same day. I ended up being there for several hours while they waited on a part and finished the job. During that time, I got a real feel for how the shop runs. It is not one of those cold, corporate chain repair places. It also is not one of those un

Nicest people in the world! My Honda Accord started acting very weird on the Parkway. Rapid search for closest garage. Managed to limp into Round Hill. John and his fellow master mechanics spent a good amount of time troubleshooting and found a "very unusual" blown fuse, which they replaced and then road tested. All seemed fine and they sent us on our way... and way more than fair.

Stopped here to top off my rental car, before my flight out of White Plains. Stumbled across this place and had to stop, and traveled back in time to the days of the old service stations. Great place to stop!

I was on my way to the Bronx Zoo when my dashboard went nuts. Getting off on the next exit I let my GPS find me a mechanic and it lead me to these guys and I'm very glad it did. They diagnosed the problem quickly and let me know just what was needed to get me back on the road. Given that I'm not local but was on holiday near the area, I expected to pay more than I would back home. I was very pleasantly surprised when I actually paid less for labor than I normally do and the service was quite a bit faster. They got me right back on the road as soon as the part needed arrived. They are attached to a "general store" and I recommended their tuna salad. I thought the prices were a bit high until I saw the size of the sandwich and that was before the usual accompaniments. All the people we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Wish they'd move up my way!
